My growing fear with AI

AI, ambition, and whether there is still time to break out.

A changing scene

The X Indie hacking scene is at a weird stage right now. It’s just a trend, everyone is building, so selling and marketing have naturally become competitive. SEO businesses and Bidding businesses are in demand. It feels like things are changing. The SaaS boat seems to be sinking, and people are just trying to make their cheque before it sinks.

Levelsio, the man I looked up to, and I think the one who still has the best idea of future times from his past experiences, is acting like it’s all doomed. If everyone can make their own solutions, why pay? 2 years ago it would have sounded stupid. But with the kind of growth we have seen in AI, it’s not hard to imagine that by 2030 all 7 millennium questions will be solved, heck, we might even have a cure for cancer. Definitely not in the way we ever thought, but it’s AI, it will come with its own arguments.

Becoming unskilled

Knowledge worker. That is what I am supposed to be. Looks like I am the unskilled labourer now. I have always been Pro-AI, and in future times I will continue to be. But it all comes down to my purpose in life, which was to live a long, happy, prosperous life and see India develop. If AI achieves that, I am more than happy. Yet something hurts in my mind. That deep desire to get out of the middle class, I don’t know why, I act and wish to live a humble life, but deep down that wish still lives. It wants me to be free from a life of labour. That requires capital.

The last boat

I am not sure if that boat can carry me, or if it has already sunk well beyond reach, and I don’t see another boat coming for me. Is this my last chance to break out of this economic hierarchy? Only time will tell. My inaction will still cause me more harm than any AI ever could. So for now, I will keep trying to find a good way to earn and learn. Anyways, Bye :|
